My visit to Clinton St. Baking Company was an experience that certainly lived up to its reputation, though with a few caveats. Getting a reservation, especially on a weekend, felt like a quest, so I opted for a weekday evening. The atmosphere was bustling and lively, definitely on the noisier side, which meant it wasn't the spot for a quiet, lingering conversation, but it had a charming, classic diner vibe. The service was consistently excellent; the staff were attentive and efficient despite the crowd. Now, for the food – the pancakes are truly exceptional. Fluffy and delicious, particularly the blueberry ones with their warm maple butter, they are an absolute must-try. Their signature chicken and waffles also lived up to the hype; the chicken was huge, crispy, and paired perfectly with a fantastic hot sauce, offering great value. I was also pleasantly surprised by the salmon burger, which was incredibly tasty, and the double bacon was like delicious beef jerky. While most dishes were fantastic, I found the truffle Brussels sprouts a tad salty, and the crispy potato pancakes weren't as crispy as I'd hoped. The seasonal drinks, like the hot buttered rum, were unique and strong. Despite the potential for long waits and the bustling environment, the quality of the food, especially the baked goods and signature dishes, makes Clinton St. Baking Company a highly recommended spot for an indulgent breakfast or brunch. Just remember to book ahead!

Went here to try their pancakes. The maple butter was great. Pancakes were fluffy, flavorful, with a nice crispness. Highly recommend reservations. Not uncommon for a line for seating with the line forming 15-30 min before opening. Folks next to me ordered a sundae which looked fantastic. Hope to be back and try other items on the menu.

Famous for pancakes—and it deserves the hype. The blueberry pancakes are incredibly fluffy with crisp edges and warm maple butter that ties everything together. The chocolate-chip stack is rich and melty without being too sweet. Portions are big (a stack of three is easy to share). Cozy NYC brunch vibe with friendly service and a chalkboard of specials. Expect a wait—go early on a weekday if you can. If you love brunch, this spot is a must.

I’ve been here twice and both times have been pleasant and yummy! Came without a reservation each time and got seated within 20 minutes while in peak period so don’t let the wait times deter you! The pancakes are worth every calorie!

Heard a lot of how great this place was I finally checked it out. It has a cozy vibe to it and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the Pancakes with Warm Maple Butter with bananas. Was also very happy with the Country Breakfast. Be warned the place is very packed and we had to wait 50min for a table for lunch on a Tues. But is worth the wait. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other offerings. Highly recommended.

Excellent breakfast. Service as well. Food here was better than most breakfast places. It’s noisy and crowded though so not a place to go and linger and have a long conversation. Baked food was definitely better than the eggs, they were good. Pancakes are exceptional. Highly recommend. Reservations a must.

Delicious pancakes, with bananas and walnuts, they were fluffy with a tasty salted maple butter syrup topping. Bottomless coffee was topped up and the service was really good. We did have to get there for 9am and queue, then leave our number for a call up later that morning. Took an hour and a half to actually get seated, but it was worth it. Food came quickly and the staff were really nice.
